Park Details

  • The Friends of the Dog Park and City of Leavenworth are thrilled to announce that Waggin’ Tails Dog Park is open for use.
  • The City of Leavenworth Parks and Recreation will continue to maintain the grounds, empty trash, etc.
  • The public park was built specifically for area families to have a place to come with their dogs for recreation, socialization and exercise.
  • The FREE dog park is divided into two sections:  4 acres for large dogs on the left side of the park and 2 acres for smaller dogs on the right side of the park.
  • Dog waste disposal bags and trash containers are on site.  Please pick up after your pet.
  • The design of the park includes two separate double entry gates for safety getting dogs off leash upon entering and back on leash after leaving the off leash area.
  • Six beautiful natural cedar benches were hand made by Kevin Burke as his Eagle Scout Project with the help of his troop.  They are placed throughout both sides and blend in with the beautiful landscape.  Thank you Kevin.  These benches were purchased for memorial tributes and will have inscription plaques.
