Kevin Burke, an Eagle Scout candidate, has designed benches for his required community project, the design of which has been approved by the Friends group and the City Parks and Recreation. He and his helpers will build and install 6 benches throughout the park grounds.
Memorial donations can be designated to purchase a bench with a engraved tribute plaque. Benches can be "purchased".
Initially, there will only be 6 benches designated as memorials. So, if community residents are interested in purchasing a memorial bench, they should act quickly.
